What a great year 2006 was. We look forward to seeing what 2007 has to bring. Most of the decorations have been taken down. Dave love's them so much I have to wean him from them slowly by leaving some of the lit garland up in the parlor and going up the keyhole staircase in the entryway. We'll leave it up for him another week or so and then we'll move on to Valentine's Day.
Skiing at Chestnut Mountain
Needless to say we have had a shortage of snow which has really hurt our ski lodge - but - the good news is we have had colder weather the past serveral days and that helps the ski resort in making and keeping their own snow. We understand they have the most snow making machines in Northern Illinois and that they will remain open when most other resorts have been closing down until the snow comes.
